I have used Don’s services for my business and would recommend him to anyone regardless of the size of your facility. But Don, what I really want to know is… what is that magical window cleaner that you use? Is it a trade secret?

Hi newblogger,
Thank you so much for your “plug” (or bribe??)… but yes the glass cleaner is a trade secret. I am looking into getting it branded for distribution, but do not currently have it available for sale. We do however use the cleaner on all mirrors, windows, and glass surfaces (even counter tops) in most if not all of the companies we clean. Though I wouldn’t say it is magical, we are very satisfied with the results.
I will let you know if I ever do decide to start selling it.

jghy,
That’s a tough question, because when it comes to toilets there is no real “easier way”. I don’t believe in cutting corners when it comes to cleaning, especially when it comes to a toilet. But let me give you a few tips:
One of the reasons you may hate cleaning toilets is because you are probably still using a bristle brush style tool to clean the toilet. Not only are the brushes inefficient, but what’s worse is the brush can flick the toilet water around and spray you while you are trying to clean. So the first thing I would recommend to make cleaning toilets not necessarily easier, but at least more enjoyable is to get a toilet wand with a “mop” head on it instead of a brush. The mop style wands are most commonly available in a swab or cotton ball like material but there are also companies making wands with a microfiber head. I think the cotton swab mop heads work just fine and my employees use them in most of the facilities we clean.
The second thing you can to is drop in an in-tank bleach tablet. This will extend the length of time in between cleanings. HOWEVER… I MUST CAUTION YOU ABOUT THE IN-TANK TABS. If you have a septic tank (instead of city water) the tabs can disturb or even kill the “good” bacteria in your septic system. So if your home is on a septic tank I don’t advise this.
Hope that helps!
Don
