What to Bring to My Speed Decorating Party

Decide which room in your home you would like to receive expert tips and advice for at the Speed Decorating Party.

1.  Take pictures of that room

  • Either run images by Wal-Mart or CVS to print or print out on your home printer.  OR- consider using a Polaroid camera for instant images

2.  Optional Additional Info You Can Bring *Not Required: Basic floor plan

  • Sometimes it is helpful for the designer to understand the size and shape of your room as well as the location of things like windows and doors. *** If you don’t want to draw out the floor plan you can simply write down the room dimensions (length of each wall)— but even that is not necessary.  You will still receive great advice simply bringing your pictures!

3.  Optional Additional Info You Can Bring *Not Required: Magazine Tear Outs

  • If you have any magazine clippings of looks/styles you like or don’t like you may bring them to help the designer make suggestions/ offer solutions that are more tailored to your liking.  *If you don’t have time to do this that is OK! You can simply verbally explain to the designer the styles, trends and looks you prefer during your turn before she/he begins offering solutions.
